Good-bye Dodger
Dodger was just hit by a car and killed. Mackenna's best friend and Storm's playmate and a fantastic little guy. What a crappy weekend.

Got a hell of a surprise in my Trick or Treat bag tonight. I'm blaming the entire thing on Tonya. She didn't tell me that the "friends" we were going with had puppies. So when I totally wasn't looking, someone slipped a 6 week old, male (weened) chocolate lab pup in my bag.(yah right:rolleyes: )

Mackenna loves him cuz he can't knock the crap outa her with his tail like Storm does.

Storm, after some initial apprehension, seems to approve.

So, the count now is 4 females and 2 males in the house(not counting fish tank populations:rolleyes: ) I can live with that ...for now.

What a great little guy! My cousin's kids each have their own lab, and watching the three kids and three labs run in a pack is a thing to behold!

Good for you, and very good for little Mac!

Great dogs ... I used to be owned by a Samoyed named Samantha... Sam for short... together we raised 8 litters, she did all the work and I got to play with a lot of white, furry miniature polar bears... very good friend and a sad loss when she left. My second favorite breed is any Lab, Chocolates are the prettiest (to me)

Nice addition to your family...

Always a heartbreaker, I'm also very sorry to hear the news. We also lost a lab pup in an accident about a year ago. These things do happen.

Thank-you all.
The last few days has been especially tough on us. The closing on our house fell through Thursday and then again Friday. Sellers balked both times.(Yes we are suing) And now losing Dodger. Tonya is a mess and I'm numb.

Rich, I'm the buyer. The sellers screwed the deal.

Keep your dog on a leash and in a fenced back yard and you won't have rubber tire disease in your life. Hope this pup brings smiles and joy.

Just saw this...

Man, Doug, that sucks. So sorry to hear.

Dunno what I'd do if something like that happened to River...
