Hi guys, I need help on moving a 30' 1940 Hunter sedan in real poor health
from Crownsville, Maryland to my home based shop in New Jersey (south jersey) any reasonable hauling companys? Do you think a boat of this age can be moved and not fall apart? Two to three hour trip.

Its hard to tell if the boat is a good candidate for moving without seeing the boat first. Real poor health means different things to different people. Some work may be required to shore up the boat before it is moved (think of an exoskeleton) if it has significant structural problems.

An good boat transport company can advise you on what will be required. Talk to the local marinas to find out who is operating in your area that has a good track record.

Sure.... you can try Frank Pinder at Kentech Marine 410-928-5221, he uses air ride trailers. Good luck

George is located in Deale, MD. He did a nice job moving my boat recently. Good luck.
