Also how do you get internet connections on the water? They have weather and tides.

If your cell phone works out on the water, you can get an internet connection.

You can get a setup to use your cell phone as a modem, or you can get a dedicated card (which I have) that is basically a cell phone in a card.

Not the fastest connections, and the speed can vary pretty wildly depending on the company and the type of data network they have, but it's not that bad either.
