I have not been able to do much with my boats for about three years, but now that I am retired I plan to get at it again. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid191/pc9d1eb9d57f0d6686f5f6a9d747ee59d/f1d197ed.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid191/pc23bbd0437d5c8c3b3d7b954d6e92a55/f1d197e9.jpg This is a '54 Penn Yan Comander I restored to original except for not painting below the splash rail. I also restored the '54 Evinrude 15hp and the gas tank.
Next are the many projects: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid191/pe95a745b4a47d89a11142e288fee99bc/f1d198ba.jpg This is what I am working on now it is a '65 Penn Yan Explorer powered by a 140hp Mercrusier I/O. The boat was restored a few years ago and I was using it before i got sick and the it sat with no care. It now needs new paint, varnish and the outdrive rebuilt. I put a new stem in and will have replace the wood around the edge of the front deck.

Here is the start if you want to see moer I will keep adding to the post. I plan on being busy.

You posted the thumbnails. Edit the URL's to remove .thumb.jpg off the end.

Good retirement projects, smile.gif but I must warn you retirement doesn't leave you as much time for good projects as you expect. all the other things on the todo list suddenly rear their ugly heads and demand attention. Voice of experience speaking.

Charlie,

Good to see you're well enough to get back to projects.

Lots of interesting projects too.

Hey, do you still have those 16' Penn Yan canoes?
If I remember right, the S/N's were close to mine. Do any of them still show the decal?
The only thing left on mine is to cain the seats and the decal. I've got a replacement but it's not the same as the original. I haven't run across one good enough to have a duplicate made yet. (or has Dan Slutherland? as of a year or 2 ago)
