Can anyone give me insight on how to remove and repace the sealent on the lower unit?It has been sitting for 3 years and was informed last week when i bought the boat that it needs to be replaced. :eek: http://

It would help if you could be more specific. "Lower unit" of what, exactly? If you are talking about a standard outdrive, I believe that polysulfide sealants are customarily used. The real question is, "Does it leak." If somebody is telling you to replace it on general principles, I'd say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." To replace the seal, you will have to pull the whole unit off, if it is like most. You don't want to go there until you have to.
