It is sooo good to have ADSL back :D
My tax refund came through and I bought a new modem/router...it was hard going back to dialup.

Funny mate I found it bloody easy! call me old fashioned but I like dialup my one experience with broadband (not adsl couldnt get that when we were looking for faster internet) cost me more than I could stand and we had no choice but to pay the damned thing plus an early cutout fee and get out. The modem they supplied was faulty slower than dialup and had we found a split or something in the workings inside the box and their timer kb counter thing was counting GB instead of KB!! (no not unlimited) and did they believe me? nope refused point blank had some serious phone calls back and forth and in the end we paid a stupid amount and went back to dialup
Mind you my service provider is pretty good I have no dramas downloading anything the speed is acceptable most days and nights and only needs a reconnect to get it back up to pace if it does slow down
I may go to adsl but definantly NOT with telstra

Dingo, check out a mod called netspace, I'm signed up with them and no complaints at all. I pay $49.95 a month 512k and 30gb dl. They do have cheaper plans.
I wouldn't go Bigpond if it was the last choice on earth.
