Has anyone seen the latest Devlin Website that is apparently under development? If not, you should take a look. There you will find the sweetest etching of a S&G motorsailor.
The site is a little quirky to find under Sam Devlin Art.com or sim. address; still haven't figured out the most direct route.

That is one of the rare boats that you will find Sam aboard that he did not build.

If you are refering to what I believe is his own boat, an ex salmon troller , you're probably right. The point of my message, if missed in translation, was to merely point out a new Devlin design, see "Interactive" page, to give hope and reinforcement to those that understand and appreciate the aesthetics and technology of modern composite wood construction; and to shed some light on the naysayers.
Best regards,
Pierre

Yes Pierre, That is his ex-salmon trawler I was referring to. Just talked to him this morning and find that those are his own watercolors in the Gallery section. I can do lots of good things with wood but painting pictures eludes me. Don't even like painting anything, including boats, but it's necessary.
I missed seeing the motorsailer first time through. The link is: https://samdevlin.com/index.html

Thanks for the correct web address Tom.
It appears you are a regular to this forum. Anyone that keeps in touch with Sam Devlin is definetly on the same page that I'm on. I take it you have experience with S&G construction.
I've have been building a Devlin Egret part time for the past two years. (albeit overdone and over engineered, I not sure but I may have reached anal nervana) At this writing, I'm at the verge of hull priming and painting. Any thougths on Systems Three water based epoxies and LPU?

Terrific style for a little DIY tub.
Boats designed and built for .00006% of the population
I see he's done his market research. A worth while quote for all those who from time to time show up on the forum asking about the viablility of self employed wooden boat building as a living.
