Before Flounder Bay Boat Lumber in Anacortes, Wa, went out of business, I used to purchase small amounts of what was called "Nexus cloth", a light-weight weave great for deck covering with epoxy.
Anyone know what "Nexus cloth" is? Dynel?

I just googled nexus and I am as ignorant as I was before. Try it you will see what I mean.

Hi Mike,
Weird isn't it! When I worked for Krist, he'd get nexus cloth all the time from Flounder Bay, really a great cloth! Now I ask around, and no body has ever heard of it. I've talked to Fisheries, Fiberlay, and some outfit up in Bellingham,... again, no help what so ever. last week I went ahead and ordered some Dynel from Fisheries, but didn't really care for it because it took way too much epoxy! Maybe if it came in a litter weight it would be OK, but Fisheries only had the 5 ounce. I will say that it took a radius very nice

Nexus is polyester cloth used as the outside covering material in fiberglass pultrusions to give a smooth surface to the part. Look for Xynole.
