Has anybody else noticed that since the forums migrated to the new system/server that searches only go back to the date of the switch? Is there a workaround that anybody knows about? Or is this being worked on? Or is it just me?

It may be you, Dennis. I just did a search in B&R, on CPES. Got 200 hits (max) dating back to 2000.
There's a selection field in the search screen, for how far back you want to go.

Donn's right, I found that the search is affected by your default "Show Topics" (like Show Topics "for the last 10 days"). I changed mine to "show all topics" and no longer have that problem.

I noticed also that since the switch to the newe server the yellow boxes on the far left of the posts indicate that there are new posts when in fact there may not be. I e-mailed Scot about this. Are others finding this to be the case also?

Hmmm... I know about the date selection thing and I don't think I had any restriction on that. I just tried again to search by member number and it still does not seem to be working for me. To reveal all, here is what I am doing: I have a folder on my laptop where I copy the content of threads that I do not want to lose track of. I have a subfolder I call "Smalser Manuals" where I copy Bob's wonderful "how-to" posts. So if I search by member number 7016 in B/R I get 4 hits that go back just a few days. If I search by my own number it goes back further. So maybe it is some problem with Bob's number? I'll search the archives manually if I have to. Somebody else want to give it a whirl and see what happens? Sorry for wasting bandwidth on this...

Yes, I'm also noticing that it doesn't seem to be recognizing where there are new posts since my last visits. The list of yellow folders just keeps growing..

I've never had any sucess with member number searches and I've done a fair amount of searching.

Well, the member number search thing used to work okay for me at least. It's okay, because there are only 194 pages of topics to search through. Time to have at it...

Dennis, I'm working on updating the FAQ with Bob's complete works, give me a week or so and it should be done.
