Hello Everyone,

I'm wondering if any of you have had experiences where you worked on someone else's vessel as a volunteer, or with other volunteers. Or, if you've receieved such help with your own building project. I'm especially curious about quality of work and if everyone had fun and got along.

The Pahi '63 that my wife and I are building is coming along nicely, but seeing as the ship's designed to cruise with a lot of people onboard, we're wondering if the build might benefit from having a few extra hands onboard in the yard.

The build has benefitted from the advice you all have provided on this forum, and I'd like to take this opportunity to say Thank You for all of it.

I have had many, many people along the line offer to help in my shop. some of those people can spile planks, and some of them can only clean brushes.

I always accept offers to help. its a win win situation. many people want to work on boats and are afraid to, or just can't finish anything... these people are great help. sometimes you even run into a retired boatbuilder that just wants to keep his tools sharp.

It works for me.
