I have some slave labor coming tomorrow morning to help with some things....I'll probably either add the photos or start a new thread for them and add a few at a time.....When I was divorced 30 years ago most of my stuff "disappeared" overnight...only with the arrival of my mom's stuff did I find some duplicates...and stuff I had forgotten.

That's gotta be pretty neat. I know just recently I have been finding photos of the kids that were 'lost' in the divorce. :)

awlright....project Rribbitt....these are what I can get outta the computer after the scanning op.....but also keyboard is kaput so I gotta post these and go get a new keyboard and continue the download/scans....

First.....the new project.....for some years I have been in love with Jay Benford's little 14 foot tug, Grivit.....

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid216/p1d589f75c8b44807879060a7d23981d0/ec921af1.jpg

So I took the basic Idea....and did a 12.5 foot beam, 25 foot long, by 3.5 foot draft of lines for the main hull.....

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid216/p027e9ebb7146b7083714bfa65c1fbac5/ec921bad.jpg

and to date I have drawn out the 27 foot version, 29 foot and 32 foot version of the hull. Proportionally the house appears a little lower with the aft cabin higher than the (proportionally) 14 foot version. This will allow a queen size berth forward, a nice size head/shower, hanging lockers etc......the wheelhouse will be 6 feet front to back, and the aft cabin with galley, settees etc will be 11 feet by 9.5 feet...with room on the top for a inflateble when cruising...a 40 hp diesel and lotsa fuel. Calculations show about 14 hp for hull speed with a 21 inch prop, left over power for reefer pump and alternator..room for two or three 8D batteries.....very comfortable for her size........about 15000 lbs.

Well, you came through after all!!! It was worth the wait! ;) So, you design and have boats built overseas? I am confused. Maybe a little history here??

paladin

Naw Jake...he was it.....the entire team.....when I worked in S.E.A. I lived in Thailand and had a house also in the Philippines (shop at Manila International) and a "condo" (one entire floor of a hotel) in Vietnam to service the contracts and tours....90 days at a time in 'Nam and longer in Thailand...so I also got involved in building most all my boats there. Labor (then) was 8 cents an hour for an 8 hour work day.....my housegirls got about 4 bucks a month....but I generally paid considerably more for the work, much to the consternation of my neighbors.

It might appear that your neighbors had a little bit to be 'conserned' about ;)

Seriously, thanks for taking the time and great effort to post the pictures, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Cheers!
