Hey ya'll-

OK- so there is a new project at the "yard" A 17' Wittholz cat that is unfinished- one of the first orders of business-

Build a rudder- I am looking for good sources for hardware- who have people had good luck-

And- I also rec'd incomplete plans with the boat- anyone know if it is possible to get reprints from woodenboat at less than full cost since the license fee for one boat has already been paid? Or- is anyone else out there building the 17' Wittholz cat?

Thanks- JP

Whoa, lucky you.

Port Townsend Foundry for rudder hardware. There stuff is hell for stout.

Order a copy of Boat Design Quarterly, No. 20. There is a great article about the 17' cat in that issue. The illustrations are reproduced from the plans and provide almost enough information to build the boat. If that doesn't work, perhaps you'll find someone who might allow you to "borrow" the plans.

EDIT: Search Designs/Plans. Somebody mentioned that boat maybe 6 months ago. The gentleman's name is Dave and we corresponded about the same boat.

Good luck!

Wayne
