This video was hard to watch.

I cry every time I am reminded of David Purley attempting to rescue Roger Williamson, while the safety crew stands by doing nothing.

Changed days... if you haven't read it already Jackie Stewart (http://www.ddavid.com/formula1/stew_bio.htm) deserves some of the credit.

I've followed that era's drivers' histories closely, and have read or seen on video much commentary from them concerning the poor safety involved in top level motorsports at the time. I've even had the good fortune to listen to Brian Redman, in person, speak on the topic. Its amazing that as many of the 'great' drivers are still with us today as there are.

Brian Redman mentioned that not just a few drivers at the end of the Sixties and into the early Seventies experienced so much stress due to the lack of safety and the deaths of collegues that many developed serious health problems.

Paul I didn't watch the video on this computer so I'm not sure what it is about, but that never stopped me before.

Way back when I used to watch NASCAR, but that was when King Richard was driving. I've tried to watch a little since than but Kyle never lite the fire like Richard. I was already to start watching again, but than Adam was killed.

If you can't tell it's Petty or nothing for me.
