I found an article in WB#119, the contact person was Maynard Bray but that was ten years ago. I'm unable to find a set of plans. Anyone have any tips on running down these plans????

Go ahead and contact Maynard Bray. I used to have his e-mail address but I can't find it right now. His snail mail address is always in Save a Classic in each WB issue. I wrote him about the same design a few years ago (4-5) and he is still the gatekeeper to those plans. I even went so far as to contact the NW School of Wooden Boatbuilding to get a very rough estimate on the cost to build. But, I pursued buying a Devlin-converted fishing troller, Lean-To.

I'll use your advice. Thanks for your input.

That is a wonderful design but be advised that the resale value will be very low considering the amount of materials and labor which will go into her construction. There was a very well built boat constructed to this design by a well regarded professional builder, which was on the market for at least two years at a give-away price. IMO she's too big for a small boat and too small for a big boat.

The NW School in Port Townsend gave a rough quote, just looking at the study plans in that issue, at $65,000. As I said, that was 4-5 years ago- perhaps 6- so I imagine the cost would be higher now. That did not include the engine, etc. At the time, Maynard Bray put me on to the one that was for sale in British Columbia and it did stay on the market for quite awhile. I don't know if it finally sold or if it was taken off the market. I don't think it helped to have it marketed initially by an East Coast broker. French Creek Boat Sales subsequently brokered it and that was the last that I heard of it.
