Looks like we're gonna get a more or less direct hit. We're all stocked up. Went to the liquor store last night and got the Cuervo. Stopped by the grocery store and got beer(oh yeah, some food and water too). We don't mess around with candles as an alternate light source too much cuz, well you know, when you're drinking fire can be extra dangerous. All the really lightweight cheap stuff we own is in the middle of the front yard(especially the stuff that didn't sell at the last yard sale) cuz lookin' for your stuff is a good way to meet the neighbors.
You are all cordially invited to Doug n' Tonya's Unregularly Scheduled Annual or As Needed Hurricane/Tropical Storm Party!
Everybody say "WOOHOO!"

Woo Hoo! Gonna do a shrimp boil? Don't forget the rum, so you can make hurricanes!

We did a shrimp boil last weekend and I eat shrimp about every other day. (I get a little shrimped out as Tonya might tell you:o ). We like to pretend that we don't have power and eat cold cut sandwiches and leftover cold pork. We used to do BBQ but in the last real hurricane my grill blew into my neighbor's yard and he claimed it. His wife blew into my yard though so I figure we're even, even though I gave his wife back eventually.

Latest news is the storm center is stalled over the eastern Atlantic. Maybe the storm won't make your party! ;)

Oh, David, It'l make it. Maybe these poor sob's from the forum won't come, but the storm will always crash the party.
BTW- It's on the way.

How about I'm just with you in spirit, or maybe with the spirit locker and not with you, or something like that. Enjoy your climate. ;):D

I hear the party is coming to DC next.... Just throw some of those shramps up in the air, and they'll land on a table somewhere up the line....

Actually I went to bed at about 8:30. Missed the whole damn thing. Tonya says I didn't miss much. Yard looked fine in the morning, not a twig.
