Clear western red cedar? Curtis Lumber (http://www.curtislumber.com) in Ballston Spa NY (north of Albany) has 3/4 and 1" x 7.25.(1x8 and 5/4x8)in stock They won't plane it to 1/2" though. You may be able to order it. BTW,WR cedar is very expensive right now on the east coast.

White cedar isn't expensive!
not down here!
I get planking stock from Schairer bros sawmill in egg harbour city, NJ and flitches are running about $1.20 a board foot. sometimes I have them cut me 2/4 sometime they have 5/4 and resaw it for me, but they are always very accomadating.
I even had some "less than" 2/4 cut for 1/4" finnished clinker planking.
the flitches vary from 18 inches or so at the fat end to 10 or so at the skinny end, and they also have edged boards available- well technically most of their stock is already edged.
