Held in Salem, MA over the weekend. A small show, but might be more fun because few if any of the boats are professionally restored. If anyone has questions about the boats I will try to answer.

Not actually wooden, but who cares.

This boat won best restoration by owner a year or two before. Very nice job.

Key lime is the Shearwater, the owner is from Florida he was working his way down the coast trailer sailing after visiting up in Maine.

I am afraid that I have already misplaced the show guide so I can't identify the boat in pic #2 though I think it may have won best restoration by owner this year.

This is a good show if your not a professional, almost all the boats are restored by the owners.

Thanks for the photos, Tom. The sailboat pictured was not "Willow" but a Celebrity-K (keel model). "Key Lime", the Shearwater by the late Joel White was built by Charles A Curran, a Naval Architect from England. Her appearance of full length planks and bright interior were achieved by scarfing the plywood planks which were also thinner than designed. Her mast is hollow and uses carbon fiber for strength as does the hull.
The winner of Best Restoration by Owner went to Ted Nygro and his 1951 Century Speedboat. All glistening varnish and a 289ci V8 !!

Tom, thanks for taking the photos and taking the time to post them. I live ten miles from the show site, but was vacationing a hundred miles away in Truro.
Next year I'm going to come home for the weekend and possibly exhibit my Ducktrap Wherry and a couple of my Nutshell Prams. I know how happy that will make my wife . . . . your're going to what??
