Its been some time since I posted progress pictures of my little runabout, so here goes. Bear with me if I screw this up because its my first attempt with imagestation. I'll start with one picture:

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid20/pec778562753f3b2d54e5bbf6903cbd24/fdbf4a0d.jpg

OK, seems to be working. Anyway, as you can see, I got the topsides framed up. And no, the hull is not really propped up on the cooler (or the kerosine can) it just looks that way.

So how bout some more:

That last one is the pile of free mahogany I was given that I mentioned in a post a month or so ago.

Thanks for looking, folks.

I just came back and edited the post to take the .orig.jpg off the end of the photo URL's, lets see if it works now.

I got the pics. You are doing an outstanding job! Your shop looks like mine ... all sorts of misc stuff keeps collecting.

I'm looking at that pile of mahogany ... just leave it in the driveway there. I can be in CT in about 10 hours with the pickup truck ........

I see the first and the last one, via right click & view Pic. Others are Red X. Is this the "orig.jpg" issue ?

Hey Jeff, the boat looks great! But by looking at your shop I think you may suffer from "horders complex", or the fear of not being able to part with anything. Ever think about a garage sale, Or maybe just a run to the dump! Or how about this, A bigger shop!

I see the pics by linking to IS directly. Get rid of the .orig.jpg and they'll show up here.

Nice work! (Looks like my garage)

Well folks,

looks like the silly .orig.jpg extension was the problem. Thanks for straightening me out on that. No more little red x's that I can see.

For those who have seen the pics, thanks for the kind words. "Double planked, mahogany over plywood?" Well, sorta. Ya see, when I started this project, I didn't have a clue about boatbuilding methods (I think maybe I'm up to half a clue now smile.gif ). I bought plans for the Glen-L Malahini, which is intended as a plywood hull, but wanted the appearance of a planked mahogany hull. No problem, I thought. I got myself some mahogany veneer (we're talking the really thin stuff here), cut it into 5" widths and epoxied it over the plywood. I shoulda at least vacuum bagged it, but as I said, I didn't have a clue. If I ever have to wood the hull, its all gonna hafta come off, being that its too thin to sand.

Now, 'bout the garage. I hate to admit it, but the part you can't see in the pictures is worse than the part you can  . "Hoarder's Complex"...me? If only it was that simple. Actually, its SWMBO who's the packrat. My stuff just keeps getting crammed into smaller and smaller spaces. It does get contagious, though. Or maybe I've just given up. In my case I don't mind parting with stuff, its just that the job of clearing it all out has become so monumental that I just keep putting it off.

Mighty purdy boat Jeff. My boatshop doubles as a garage too. I think a shed for the mowers and bikes would help my situation. We gave up trying to get cars in there years ago. :D

NOW I see the pics. Great going, Wayne. Reminds me very much of the framework of Zip.

I missed the story about the free mahogany, or I've forgotten it. What was that all about?

Fine work, sir.
