OK I know that the questions has been asked many times but here it is again. How do you post pictures?

You put them up on a picture hosting site then link to them via the yellow postcard looking Icon in the reply box. You gotta know the complete address to the picture. Most people go to the picture they want, right click and go to properties and copy the address from there and past it in the link address line.

For very comprehensive step by step procedures see the posting by Thorne on this thread.

Use the search function to search for "Insert Image"

A lot of the people here use www.imagestation.com (http://www.imagestation.com)

Sign up for the free imagehosting. Upload your photos.

Or, if you don't want to register or set up albums try http://tinypic.com/
Just click the "Browse" button, find the image on your computer and click it. Then click "Upload Image" and copy the URL and paste it into the box that pops up when you click the little yellow icon in the message box. Takes less time than it did to type this.

Sorry guys I have 30 pictures of the recent relaunch of my 61 CC constellation but do not have the computer savy to get them to you. I go into my file and click on share photos but can get no further, nothing mentioned here helps me I do not know what a URL is or how to paste it to the box that pops up, and have never seen a little yellow post card. Its like these instructions are coming from some other planet in another language

It is just like building a boat -- if you don't know what you are doing, and can't find anyone to help you in person, you have to follow instructions carefully step by step...no skipping steps.

URL = the address thingie in the little window at the top of the browser (probably Internet Explorer) window. They usually start with "http://www.xxx" Right now yous should see - http://www.woodenboat-ubb.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=53973

Every web page, graphic, and downloadable file (like pdf's) on the Internet has a URL. Not all of them are clearly posted, not all of them can be found (some are protected or hidden), but if you right-click on an image you should get the option to "copy image location" -- that location = the URL.

You won't see the little yellow postcard until you activate it in the User Control Panel section of this web forum.

First - don't attach photos. Most web forums don't allow it, and space limitations are the main reason why.

Second - Instead of attaching them to a thread, post the pics on the web somewhere. You have a free website area with any paid ISP's email account, or use www.picturetrail.com (http://www.picturetrail.com) or other free hosting service. Once posted on the web, right-click the image to copy the URL (web address).

Third - once posted on the web, try this procedure:

1. Click the "User CP" link in the browser window in the top left of the menu bar.
2. Click the "Edit Options" link about 1/4 of the way down the left column.
3. In the "Misc Options" at the bottom of the next page, select "Enhanced Interface" from the pulldown list.
4. Once this interface has been selected, in any "Reply" window you can click the "insert photo" icon --> a little yellow square icon with the stamp in the upper right corner, the mountains in the lower center.
5. Once the little dialog box titled "Please enter the URL of your image" comes up, paste the URL of the photo in the field. You can test first by pasting the URL into the window of a web browser.

Well I managed to get the pictures on , looks like I posted them twice, building boats is a lot easier than working with this dam computer.

It looks like you're halfway there GC.
Once you get your pics on the host site,
enter the album, open one of the pics,
point to the image,
right mouse click to see the menu,
point to properties,
left click,
highlight ( left click and drag) the Image address URL (http:// ---- .jpg).
Copy the URL (Right click to see edit option, left click on copy)
hit cancel.
Come here, compose your message.
Position your cursor where you want the pic to appear.
Click on the "post card".'
Paste your copied URL in the space provided.(right click - paste)
Note - edit out the duplicate http://
click on OK. You should see your image.
Click on Preview (below the gremlin selection block)to see if you did it right.
If it's OK, hit Submit Reply.
