Based on Edward Abbey's first novel, "The Last Cowboy." I told you about this before. I hunted up a VHS copy, rarer and rarer, and sent it to my brother. It took some searching to get this, and he hasn't been to the PO box to get it, in a month! I should have had it sent here.

It's spectacular Americanism. The man, played by Kirk Douglas, who isn't going to bend to authority, takes his pony into the mountains after a jailbreak. He breaks jail while trying to free a dear friend, who is his lover's husband. An old story, where friendship transcends. But the action takes place in this mountain landscape that is so accurate. I've walked those mountains, and it's true film.
