Most of the building is done. I still have to put in the glass and do the wireing.

The pilot house is done it just needs final painting and varnish but I will do that when I get her out of the garage.
now heading aft the cockpit is just about done. The deck still needs a layer of 4 oz cloth and clear epoxy and lots of varnish.

The small box in the corner is a step to get on deck and under it is a sump for the bilge pump the top flips up to get at a small storage space
and there is room outboard of the box to store some small rubber fenders

And we have the back seat and the transom.
well that about covers Floozie from stem to stern
I hope my next up date will be when I get her out of the garage. That will be fun I have to jack up the pilothouse pull the hull out from under it then lower the pilothouse get it out of the garage
lift it up and put it back on the boat. I'm sure that will be fun. But don't you guys worry I will post pics of that!....Phil

All boats are fun, but she looks like you should start doing facial exercices so as to not injure yourself from smiling so much... :D

Beautiful job Phil!! I admire your workmanship.

What type of steering system are you planning on using? I found that installing the teleflex steering for the Honda 30 on my San Juan Dory, that I had to cut a hole in the side of the motor well for the linkage as it moved further out than the motor well. I built and epoxied a small recessed box to maintain the watertightness of the motor well.

That's beautiful, Phil! You're not gonna get that wet, are you. ;)

Could I request a closeup and some info on that wheel?

Jazzy, Phil.

Floozie is looking like a real good-time gal.

Now, where'd I leave that pic-a-nic basket? :D

Donn The wheel is about 22 in and has WHEELER SHIP YARD BROOKLYN N.Y.cast into the outer ring
I know it came off a boat owned by Bill Claudio
the owner of Claudios resturant in greenport L.I.
The wheel spent it's last 20 years under a pice of lexan as a table In my father-inlaws house.
This is the best shot I have of it..

Looks really nice, guess you will be launching soon.

I remember when you posted your coceptual drawings for this boat, way back when...

Your carvings look great, good luck.

Cool wheel...I vaguely remember it, probably from an earlier thread. It's great to know it's provenance.

Loon is feeling neglected. I haven't had her out, or worked on her all year. I've been fishing and scavanging with the fiberglass skiff. Maybe this winter I'll get back to work on her.

Phil, looks great! I am excited to see her outside and even more so to see her launched. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your project progress. Thanks again for sharing it with us.
