Having long been interested in shallow water sailing craft and gaff rigs... I have always wondered if the 26 foot sloop by Wilder B Harris (available from our host) has been built and if any photos exist...any performance details etc...

I figured it was worth asking, just curious.

Looks to be one of the 'sisters' of the 26foot 'Sea Bird' yawl designed by Mower and Day.

(There is a write-up on the desiger Day in the free woodenboat boat magazine provided online).

There are a lot of these sisters - similar designs and progressions of this design on www.dngoodchild.com (http://www.dngoodchild.com). Or search here for Sea Bird.

I think this design quite a bit more appealing than the Seabird models. You know how its so much more informative seeing a photo rather than just a line drawing. Just wondered if she had been built.

Thanks for the input.

A bump because I, too, am curious if this was ever built.

This design haunts me. I am embarrassed to say how many hours I have spent pondering her profile, if it looks right...

Sounds like love unrequited by a stalker of sorts... I think most of us here have this disease.:D
