    Too old, too fat

I just replaced one side (front wheel) brake pads and I'm whipped

it doesn't help that the temp is near 100 degrees
The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.
Personal failures are too important to be trusted to others.

It's hotter than Hades hinges right now. I'll be building 100 feet of wood fence on Tuesday morning.
Wooden boats are like shingles, recurring, and often painful.

Better get used to it. The NWS said that the first half of 2006 was the warmest in recorded history - and that's on top of 2005 being the warmest.
If you don't think for yourself, someone else will do it for you!

Just finished 240 feet of 6x8 privacy fence today. I don't remember it being this hard. And just so you know I dig ditches for a living, not everyday but at least three days a week. And no I don't get to use a trencher or anything powered. As we usually have to install gas line after the lawn guy has run sprinkler pipe everyfrickenwhere! So all is shovel dug. 18 inches deep.
Had to stop around 1pm as the sun was burning thru my straw hat! Finished around 7pm. Man what a workout!

“Property is the fruit of labor…property is desirable…is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.” Abraham Lincoln
