Wow, I consider myself very lucky. Went shopping for some AC exterior to follow ol' Dynamite's instructions word for word. Stopped by Lowe's to get what I need, and found FULL 1" GAPS in the core of the 1/2" ply AS WELL AS the 1/4". HORRENDOUS looking stuff, wouldn't take a curve if you paid it.
Luckily for me, we have Windsor Plywood here in Spokane, where I usually get my BS1088. Stopped by, they had GORGEOUS ACX with almost no issues at all, just need some back sheet holes filled with epoxy. On top of it all, it was a couple bucks CHEAPER. Crazy eh?
Then to make the trip really worthwhile, they have Mahogany 1x6 in stock in 20' lengths! So I have that on hold there for my gunwales on the Thames.
