It's amazing the "Crazy Diamond" made it to 60.

What's up with that link? either the site doesn't like Opera or we are, indeed, two peoples seperated by a common html.

Thanks Donn.
Tragic sort of story. He reminds me of Peter Green a lot, destiny not fullfilled.

I thought Peter Green was going to get it together again with Splinter Group, but no such luck. BB King once said he was the only player who made him sweat.

Caught Pete Green on the telly about two or three years back (?) - still a player but the conversation was a little odd.

Someone has to say: "Shine on you crazy diamond".

Ought not to mention Peter Green(berg) without mentioning Jeremy Spencer.

Jeremy Spencer... I was going to say " but he wasn't one of those extremely talented but fragile personality types who fried their brains on a bad trip" but...
Just a different kind of trip eh.

"You bought a guitar,
to punish your Ma, ..."

He ended up living with his Ma ... growing flowers and living and extending life (not time wise). Triple J had a dedication to his self destructing genius and his life.

"You played a mean guitar .... love to drive in your Jaguar."

I went to Pandora and set up a Pink Flloyd station ..."beyond the horizon ... and cool lemonade." For a bit more.

God bless him, he gave to me a lot of good listening time when I was a kid ... "the grass was greener,
the light was brighter
the taste was sweeter,
the nights of wonder.

... and the hunger is still unsatisfied."

Warren.

ps, Pandora is now playing "Brain Damage," ... I'll see you on the darkside of the moon.

Piper at the Gates of St. Peter.

Syd had a knack for cramming hooks in to a song. My favorites are Gigilo Aunt and Baby Lemonade.
