hey folks,
Today was one heck of a nasty cold rainy day, so instead of playing in the rain, I went up to Hamilton marine. On the way I noticed a grove of locust trees in someones yard. I had seen these before, but today I saw that the owner had cut the bark off the trunks of four of them, which is one way of killing a tree. On my way home, I saw that the fellow was outside, so I stopped and introduced myself and asked what he was doing with the trees. He said that he was tired of looking at them, and was in amazement that I was interested in them. He said that I could have them, and didn't mind if I just went and cut off some limbs. The thing is, I just last week took delivery of 1000 bf of the stuff, so my needs aren't great. about the only things I want are some very curvy branches that will be good for the log rail going around the stern of my round- sterned bugeye. I figured that there must be someone who would like to take advantage of this opportunity. Let me know if you want to get in on it.
