I have removed the Natulux vinyl from the plywood decks of my boat but it left behind a lot of glue residue. A couple of days ago I asked you folks how to remove varnish and one of the answers was to use a heat gun. (I did and it worked great) Do you think this would work on the glue residue or is there a better way? I intend to apply Sani-tred to the deck as a sealer and top coat.

Thanks for the help

If it was dry enough I'd try the Porter Cable belt sander and 36 grit. If gummy then the heat gun and scrapers.

Rubber gloves and XYLENE , it will wipe off.

As for the belt sander it has always been my experience that the sander heats up the glue and turns it into a gooey mess smearing it everywhere and clogging the paper.
