It should be allowed as a matter of free speech...but...for those disposed to doing it...I suggest wrapping them in the flag first...then shipping them, or the remains, somewhere else....

Wouldnt it make more sense to require flags to be made from fire-proof material?

The only time I've seen a flag burned was at an American Legion hall. There was a little ceremony and the worn out flag was burned as the proper way to dispose of it. No one had an objection to that. It's only when it is political speech that people object to flag burning.
