While waiting for some epoxy to dry I thought I would upload a few photos.
To see them all go to my imagestation page

I had to put the keel and ribs in place prior to attaching the curved outer bottom. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid207/p053646c134df513b96a9a1f91fb96349/ee8d856b.jpg

After I got the bottom ribs in place I made a paper template to cut the outer bottom panels.

Then we attached the outer bottom.

Two days of sanding, fairing, and more sanding it is ready for a final cleaning then fiberglass. :)

Look what the gardener called me out to look at during todays sanding marathon.

For those of you who cannot see it well enough I am holding the head in my left hand of a type of constrictor snake common to this area. He was about two feet long. His body in my right hand is about 3" in diam. I released him into the grass. He must be the reason I am not finding any more rat or mice droppings in the shop.
Well back to work now.

Hey Jim,

Look what we found in our roof cavity.

Actually there were two of them mating when I looked but we could only find one when it came time to pull them out. The one in the photo is about seven feet long, it is what we call a carpet snake, they are really quite harmless except to small animals and rats etc.

Australia has nine of the worlds ten most deadly snakes, what they really mean is that we have the nine deadiest snakes in the world. Someone remind me why we live here again.....something about convicts and such I seem to recall ;) .

cheers

Lee
