Can someone provide me with the information to make some baggywinkles for my schooner VIATOR?
I dont know how to make them and the ones on the running backstays are half of what they were,

a 3 foot 2 x 4...2 nails....some old 3 strand...knife....and patience....

It's been a long time but as I recall..
-stretch a doubled piece of tarred marline over a nail or hook. The length depends on how much you want(Perhaps try 6ft but stop half way to test)
- cut up some old 3 strand into 3 or 4 inch lengths (Whatever you prefer)and pull into strands
- center a strand under the marline and take each end over the top and down between the two pieces of marline.Repeat endlessly keeping the strands tight together.
-when you're fed up, lash one end to the shroud, wrap the baggywrinkle around tightly and sieze on the other end.Voila.
