I liked the look of the doors better than drop boards. The doors are mahogany and the louvers are cypress. The hinges come apart so the doors lift off.

Shes looking great Chris!... louvers have always been a favorite of mine although it does allow for water ingress unless a back is put on
Keep at it mate

Beautiful work.
Can you post a close-up of those hinges?
Nice work there Chris. Now talk to me about the cabin top. That looks like something I might like to do to my weekender. I also like the slat seats. I've decided on the weekender to do open slat seats with no enclosure underneath. I feel that this will make the cockpit roomier.

I will post some pics of the hinges but they came from Jamestown Distributors. They come apart and you need to buy two sets to do the job. They were about 10 bucks a pair, they are bronze.

I like the look. The top is cypress 3 3/8 by 3/8 with 1/4 inch seams. I used a one part polyurethane seam caulk and the screws are all bunged. It is only about 48 square feet and it wasn't that hard to do.
Actually I stole the idea from Terry Crisp.

Nice looking way to keep the cabin ventilated.

It is just beadboard from Home Depot. It came in planks 1/4 by 3" and it is T & G. I epoxied it to the bulkhead. It also forms the inside of the coamings and the foot well. I stapled it in place and then removed the staples when the epoxy dried.
