Yesterday was the 16th anniversary of my wedding date. When I got home the kid had spent her time alone at home using constructin paper and yarn to create a banner that read "Happy 16th Anniversary" and had strung it across the carpot. She also made us a blueberry cake/muffin.

I think I will keep her.;)

Ahhh a jokester.:) ;)

But really she is just 13. Just starting those terriable teen years. If I can survive the next 5 years I can survive anything.

As long as she remains this thoughtful I will be happy.

13? Just give up. She already hates you, and everything you do or say is sooooooo stuuuuuuuupid! Unless she needs something.... ;)

Speaking of good kids, Gavin (16) is down at Penn State with the other top Mathletes from around the country at the American Regions Mathematics League National Math meet. It's pretty unusual for a 10th grader to go to this meet but he had great qualifying scores.

Damn kids these days, they don't know what work is, they don't understand responsibility, reality, life, expectations, etc ... ;)

Ed ,what you say is true,,but its not the kids fault,,somewhere along the line we stopped teaching about hard work, responsibility, realistic life expectations and the like.

Maybe so Steve,,but its still true.Kids now days dont know what to expect because we dont teach them that life is hard, isnt fair, and how to make the best of life.We teach "get all you can,you deserve it" because your my kid.We teach that money is all there is to life,,not the work part of getting that money.
