We now have a new "Ignore List" function and some of you will have explored its use.

I have no wish to know who is ignoring whom - but I'm curious as to why.

So do I, there are some subjects I stay away from but people? Crikey, it's just electronic ephemera, there's an off switch, wer'e all here voluntarily, and we all post some stupid stuff. Me especially. I think after 'what did I say that for?' Specially late at night when I'm feeling shirty with everything, sorry......

I don't ignore anyone, don't think its is necessary.

Seems most of my posts go ignored anyway. No need for an electronic means to do so. ;)

On that note, this will end this thread. ;)

Oh I threw a couple on it for suspected insanity and interminable cut and paste trolling crap which I couldn't be bothered even scrolling through to get to the reasonable people.

But then I removed them so I can be reminded.

but this font business. really , what a pain in proverbial. Its like a visual version of speaking to someone who mumbles and then shouts at you.

Fonts, what about fonts?

(Damn, that's hard to do...);)

Is it OK just to put SAIE in the signature to avoid being ignored because of spelling errors?

I didn't vote, I would never ignore anyone, but I sometimes mumble a** h*** and move on to the next reply:D
Have an idea that my additions to the tattoo thread put me on a few ignore lists.;)

Christ, the guys I'd put on my ignore list are the reason I come to this place.
It's boring when we all sing the same tune.

"Fonts or font size which is it that really bugs ya ?"

I wouldn't say it really bugs me... just that it requires refocusing .. something which seems to take longer than it used to.

I always enjoy your posts and experience Paul... you cut through a bit of the stuff.
Bold is a bit like capitals that's all... seems like yelling.
But hey, you might like to yell :D

Yes, I'm quite sure I wasn't reading my posts!

(And how's this for irritating fonts!)

Yes that font and size is irritating Meer. I think this Comic Sans is nice to read , at least for me a hunt and peck typer, who has to look up / at what I'm typing , seems easier to read to / for me .

I was mostly just kidding , ya know satire, lil truth has to mix in .

And John if I want to YELL, it's all caps :)

I suspect he's deranged. But puting him on an ignore list doesn't mean you're ignoring him. It means you don't have the strength to ignore him, or to not respond.

Generally, when I've listed someone, it's not because of them, but because of what I'm afraid they bring out in me.

Aren't we all a little insane?, it's only the degree thats different, and subjective!

If we suspect we are insane, do we need to put ourselves on our own ignore list?

I never take any notice of myself. (Neither does SWMBO, just let's me get on with it).

What would happen if you put yourself on your own ignore list? Would you cease to exist?

You can't do it directly:
Sorry, you can not add yourself to your own ignore list.

However, you could sart a thread asking to be added to everyone's Ignore list - Ask Tar wossisname.

...putting him on an ignore list doesn't mean you're ignoring him. It means you don't have the strength to ignore him, or to not respond. ...Yeah. I've only had one on my ignore list, and I cycle him on and off, as I take the temperature of my temper. The ignore list essentially serves as an extra step, helping to reduce "impulse" responding - or at least, making me conscious of times that I choose to indulge in it.

If you suffer multiple personality disorder you'd best put all of you on the list just to be safe.

I do not use the function as it does not help you keep an open mind. But some people are like a buzzing mosquito. It helps me to respond to them. If it didn't help me to do so I wouldn't do it.

I wouldn't put anyone on my ignore list....

If someone ticks me off, the last thing I'd want to do is give them free rein to say anything they want without my knowledge.

A couple of weeks ago, someone said something gad-awful stupid. I pointed it out, but he's ignoring me. So now everyone knows how stupid he was -- except for him.
