i gotta have ketchup on mine these days, though i used to find the thought of it on my dogs repugnant. add in some mustard and sweet onions - ive even found a good vegetarian dog at walmart.

had my first home made potatoe salad of the summer yesterday

Hot dogs make me fall asleep. I used to ONLY like catsup (Ketchup) on my dogs. Now I like a little mustard too.
The only dogs worth eating (IMHOP) are Hummel's natural casing.

If you are ever in Northeast Ohio purchase a bottle of "Bertman Original Ball Park Mustard." There is an imposter out there called "The Authentic Stadium Mustard." But Bertman's is the original and the best. For years it was unavailable retail -- you could only get it at Cleveland's Municipal Stadium. The old stadium is gone, but you can now find the mustard in grocery stores. It is simply the best thing ever invented to cover a hot dog.

You can surely find it for purchase on the internet.

I've not seen that brand here. Is it an East Coast regional brand?

My favorite dog is Boar's Head natural casing.

I wouldn't even call Hummel's an "East Coast regional". More like a "south-central connecticut regional". But they're good. Visitors from far and wide have declared them to be a cut above their local fare, and I know a handful of florida-snowbirds who pack several cases in the trunk of the car before heading south for the winter.

The boar's head natural casing is close. I buy them when the Hummel's prices are outrageous.
