Conformity.
What do you really believe? What are you willing to fight for?
It's so much easier to conform.

Between Ghandi and Don Rumsfield what is there other than Walter Mitty, John Wayne and Ward Cleaver?

Conformity.
What do you really believe? What are you willing to fight for?
You should know that by now. ;)
It's so much easier to conform.
Oh you mean join the Pack? It is easy. All that's required is absolute submissive agreement combined with lots of flattery.
But do that? Never! :D

It's John Stewart Mill, from Andrew's thread, to attribute it.
It's interesting, Sam. We agree on much, though from very different stances.
I think most abortion is selfish murder. I think the joining of a man and a woman is holy sacrament, and homosexual couplings different.
I point out the Catholic Church's very real sins because it makes the stew thick. And because I'm not a believer in Jesus as the only son of god. I think he pointed a very strong way in his compassion, his love, and then got coopted by Paul in a power trip. Without Paul there would be no Christianity today. And he never met the man!
Be well.

It's the eccentrics that mark our humanity, not the sheep.
Nice Ish, and Paul wasn't too fussed about women, I wonder about him.

man is neither the vessel nor the sea , man is the wind in the sails and the rigging
we can make a lot of power and noise and cause calamity but our claims to be both Master and Navigator are false

Heavens forbid ... that I'm ever viewed as being irreverent or even odd, I'm never eccentric, not ever. You need money to be truely eccentric.
People who like wooden boats are deffinately odd ... what sane person would put a noose around their own knecks by creating a lifetime's worth of serious maintenance? ... eccentrics or fools?
Warren.
