three gorges China, steering a passenger ferry upriver. This area is probalby under 500 feet of water by now due to the three gorges dam.

You're right Delboy.:) Actually the boat in the fore ground is going down river and is assisted in the steering by the bow sweep. The boat in the back ground is going up river.

my folks went through there seven, eight years ago - stunning photos and stunning tales of running rapids inches from the gorge walls, looking up and seeing thousand year old burial shrines etc.
