I got the delaminated sections of my boat finally all squared away. There are three layers one of 1/2 inch mahogany then 1/4 inch red cedar then 1/8th cedar making the final layer. The1/4 inch cedar delaminated from the mahogany about an inch from the chine going towards the keel some spots a little more up to about 10 inches. I had to remove the full spray rail to get to these spots.

None of the wood was rotten so i raked it out as best as possible short of using a router and cutting it out. Then mixed up some epoxy and slapped in there then clamed it up.

This is not going to be a permanent fix. I am planning on having a yard remove all the bottom paint this fall/winter and cut out any other delimitation.

I am also going to try to figure out a better way to cover the end on the cold molding esp. in the Transom, so this doesn't happen again.

The boat never leaked but it is still a little unnerving. So much for modern building techniques. The traditional planking is perfect!
