Chris Smither is great. Saw him perform December 2004. That boy gets a lot of sound out of his guitar. He plays the Mississippi John Hurt version of The Candy Man.

I met him at a "House Concert a few years ago...listening to his album "Train Home" now.

I love Mike Sherkey's house concerts...room for a little less than 100 people so it's up close and personal..

I am always a little supprised (and pleased) that these people who play at such venues will come to our little town and play then sit at the kitchen table with us and visit...

He seemed like a pretty down to earth person who enjoys meeting people and performing. I spoke with him briefly at intermission. He must have sold several hundred CDs at that performance.
