Shane - you're a dear and wonderful person to think of me when you've got your own plate of worries.

Things are OK here. Sadness about Dave happens when I think about how quickly time marches forward and how much he's missed. His birthday was last month and he would have been 59.

Grandbaby Sarah turned 4 and while Kristy drove Dave crazy with the way everything always had to be a deluxe drama (and Sarah's birthday party was no exception), it's so unfair that he missed things like this:

Classic Kristy though. :D Sarah wanted a My Little Pony party (popular toy here) so not only do we have My Little Pony decorations and favors, but Kristy arranges REAL PONY rides for the kids.

Dave would have been speechless!

The little redheaded girl in the green dress reminded me so much of pictures of me at that age.

Sarah the boat - as opposed to Sarah the grandchild - progresses slowly. Back in March we had a "Volunteer Day" and had a day where I had some projects lined up and all the good and wonderful folks who have offered to help got an invitation that basically said, "Here's your chance." Lots got done, I had lunch and beverages all ready, and a good time was had by all.

Main progress made was a work platform at deck level - an idea first suggested here :D

And me, I keep working and traveling and sailing/racing as much as possible.

Don't worry, not as many as the others, but more pictures of the race at:

I've been trying for over a year, but HOPEFULLY I've got my work situation to the point I can work less hours (and still pay the bills) and have a couple of days a week to work on the boat. It's such an endless circle.

I work full-time+ because work is good and lucrative so I can pay the bills and keep roofs over Sarah and my heads and just about every weekend there's some opportunity to crew or I need to go to my mom's or a grandbaby's birthday, etc.

Entire weeks go by without me even getting to the warehouse. It's not good for Sarah, but there are way worse things than having too many opportunities to travel, sail, and spend time with family.

So there you go...

Sorry you asked?????

Well, I for one am not sorry he asked, Margo. I just wish I'd beaten him to it. Thanks for the news. Keeping busy is good for lots of reasons, isn't it?

Bless you, Bluey....
