Just wasted another day rcovering from malware. In the good old days I could reformat and reload in about 40 minutes. Now it takes all day. Time to come up with a better plan.
My Dad had a sign on his wall that said "It's Funny How A Man With Facts Can Break Up An Argument". I have never read anything less true, as I am reminded every time I argue with my brothers. Take the same fact, give it to two people, and watch the interpretations fly!

Good Lord, son! What in the world are you doing wrong? I've got half a dozen PCs on the internet and malware simply isn't a problem at all. Do you spend all your time on porn sites or what?
Post your surfing history so that the rest of us can learn from your example, eh? Title it "Sites to Avoid".

Well maybe, strictly for research purposes of course, wink wink, but not anymore. This stuff is worse than crabs! I haven't found ANYTHING that can get rid of it. A utility called Smitrem worked last time but didn't touch it this time around. I don't use antivirus software cause half the time it doesn't work and is just as obnoxious as the virus. Personally I think Norton and McAfee have a secret room where all this stuff is hatched. I'd like to meet the people who wrote this stuff, congratulate them on their expertise, then machine-gun them all to death. Was gonna say shoot them down like dogs, but I wouldn't shoot a dog.
It really is amazing what some people will do for sex, especially if they can have their picture taken doing it! I thought I was kinky way back in my day, but I was just an amateur compared to these people.

Unfortunately,
If you don't have a good security system, with live scanning and regular system checks, as well as two or three different spyware checkers that you run at least once a week, your system is doomed.
And thats a fact!

Hm.
Running AVG and Spybot and one other spyware program along with ZA for a firewall I don't seem to ever have problems. Maybe I'm just unaware.
What are you surfing with? IE seems much more vulnerable than Firefox.
I don't do web commerce, so I don't worry about it much. Belt, suspenders.
I just ran Ad-Aware on my XP pro system. I use Opera and sometimes Firefox and rarely do I use IE. I hadn't ran a spyware scan in many months. I only had 13 cases of spyware. I think Opera does a much better job of handling spyware than IE.
