Well the weather finally calmed down (somewhat) and while everyone else in Indy was at the races we decided to take the boat out for pictures. Here is a picture of the Lightning just after launching.

The winds were light <7mph this time better then the 15mph we tackled the first time. It took a little while to get out of the harbor but eventually we did and had a nice
sail. I bought a Garmin E-trex for checking heading and boat speed. I was able to get the boat up to 5.8 with no fine tuning of the sails. Not bad considering the hull speed is just over 6.
It was quite overcast so the pictures are a little dark. I try to get some better ones tomorrow.
tomorrow if the winds are still light we'll try to fly the chute :D .
