I haven't posted here in a long time, but thought I'd share my launch pics with you.

The boat is Ken Hankinson's Flats Flyer. According to Ken, this is probably the only one ever built. She is ply on frame, 21' x 8'.

If yours is the only one ever built, Ken Hankinson must be very gratified to see it done so well.

Got any fish pictures yet?

No fish yet. We just launched her Saturday.

I'd love to know how to get in touch with Ken. I think he'd like to see the finished boat.

So how does this design compare to the Phantom that you built?

You know, Lone Star, it is totally different. The construction method, the size, my changes, the finish work. The Phantom is a great little boat, no doubt, but I really didn't enjoy the s&g process.

Very nice. I bet it goes pretty good.
