Why, pray tell, should anyone feel sorry for people driving gas-guzzlers? This is a tax on the stupid, just like the lottery. And anyone who thinks Bush went to Iraq to keep the price of oil DOWN should also go to the back of the little bus.

Hi Victor - Still smoking?

Care to report to the class what pack of cigarettes costs and what proportion of the cost = state and federal taxes??? ;)

Oh, I didn't say smoking wasn't a tax on the stupid! In fact, all but about 35 cents a pack of it is! I'd like to say the free market is causing these fuel price hikes but of course the free market is hardly free. Where's the shortage? This is enronization, practiced by people too smart to be caught. Or I should say, too smart to be punished.
