Epoxy and Chlorine?

Last year I used a two part fast cure epoxy from HD to repair an underwater part in my pool. The epoxy lasted a few hours, turned yellow and failed. Any ideas or suggestions? The part is not easily replaceable as I would have to purchase a complete vacuum system.

I have read that the 5-minute epoxies are not very durable because of the hardeners they use. Try a real 2:1 ratio epoxy system.

The problem is the the pool chemicals which are pretty weak, but that most epoxies cannot cure underwater. There are however, several apply and cure underwater epoxies, some even used in nuclear facilities. - visit www.epoxyproducts.com (http://www.epoxyproducts.com)
