glue or epoxy?

Is it necessary to use epoxy (as opposed to standard waterproof glue) when working on interior joinery? I am working on cabinets, lockers etc, screwing and bunging everything. I thought using epoxy might be overkill. Plus, waterproof glue is easier to clean up while wet.
What do you guys think?

Waterproof glue!!!! By far on interior! Especially cabinets! I can't emagine trying to clean off epoxy drips.
