Flew the hump in Burma, fought with AVG...wrote "God is my Co-Pilot" among others...97 years old...

Read that book years ago when I was a kid. Wow, he lived a long and incredible life.

That calliber of person...is diappearing...He did what few could have done or wanted to do...flying over the Hump was a challenge few would want to take...and few of those who did remain with us today.
He seems to have had a good life...Read his book but it was many years ago...
