7:10 to go down by 2 and TN can hit from the free throw line. Offensive foul on Winthrop, TN has the ball.

Down to 6:40 and TN just tied at 58.

TN misses the three pointer. Not hitting from the free throw line and less than 5 minutes left.

TN leads 60-58.

And from the Women's bracket.

Tennessee coach Pat Summitt was shocked and confused after the Lady Vols received a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament and told her players to consider it "a slap in your face."

Summitt believed sixth-ranked Tennessee (28-4) had earned a top seed after beating LSU to win the Southeastern Conference tournament. On top of that, the Lady Vols had the toughest strength of schedule and were second in the RPI.
Because North Carolina, the overall No. 1 seed in the tournament, also is in Tennessee's bracket, Summitt said that means the Lady Vols were considered the lowest second seed.
"All I can tell you is no respect. Where can we gain it? On the court. We're going after it," Summitt said.Chad

FWIW I have absolutely no interest in MOST team sports. With the exception of baseball.

03-17-2006, 08:13 AM
What's that?
Oh yes, that where you get ballpark franks.

Joe just for giggles why don't you watch the Lady Vols play Army Sunday @ 12:00. You might enjoy it.

I will start Saturday with the Lady Mocs vs Kentucky @ 2:30. The Mocs are undeafeted in the Southern Confernce, but Kentucky is a powerhouse. I would love to see our Ladies beat Kentucky, but I ain't holding my breath.

Speaking of baseball, didn't we used to play that game here in the States?

Congrats to Mexico on their win. It obviously meant more to them than it did to Team USA.

Sorry about Mich State Jeff, guess we don't have to worry about them meeting up. I expect you to watch the Vols though. And hey check out ESPNA and see if you can get the UTC/Kentucky game. They have blacked it out here and it is $75 on pay per view.

Chad I tried last night I honestly tried. The TV in the barn only gets basic TV so the choice was Cops a re-run of "The Sixth Sense" but once you know the hook the movie looses it's repeat ability ;)

So anyway with nothing on I tuned the madness on channel 2. Thinking of you the whole time Chad. I gave it the best chance I could but in the end it just sounded like the adults on the Peanuts movies.

Waaa Whaaaa Whaaaaa woooo waaa blaaa bleeeee Waaa

Dunk #2 for Candice Parker. Coming into today there were no dunks in Women's Tourny basketball and only 4 in history. Now Parker has 2 in one game.
