The people need to unnerstand, that I unnerstand that my job is to tell the people whats on my mind. I like to call that "un-der-stan-ding." See, when your preznit, you got to unnerstand, and communicate, thats why I am doing what I call "com-mun-i-cat-ing." Thats when I talk to you like I am talking, because I unnerstan that communicating is part of the job of preznit, see.

...about Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, he said, "No, I don't believe he should resign. I think he's done a fine job of not only conducting two battles, Afghanistan and Iraq, but also transforming our military, which has been a very difficult job inside the Pentagon."
You are doing an excellent job, Rummy.

When the president speaks I keep my hand over my wallet, because I know it is going to be picked again. Last time I heard from the Prez on Iraq he wanted another $100 million

He sounded very brittle. It's worrisome.

You know there is a problem when your elected officials don't even blink when you rattle off a number such as 100 million. To them, it is just business and a million to them is equal to 100.00 to us.
They don't give a damn if it means keeping the portk coming in and their constituants reaping the benefits.
It isn't just the president. He is just doing what the rest, in politics, do. Spending money.

How many senators and congressmen continue to take these fact finding tours? And who pays for them? We do...If it came out of their pockets, do you think they would honestly go?

But don't worry, guys. It's just that he gets tense when he is trying to talk and listen to his handler on the hidden wire at the same time...

I hope he stays the course in communicating his intentions.
It's like he's navigating the Titanic. No matter how he shifts the helm he's headed down.

The so-called Leader speaks, but there is still hope for the Led.

Until this month, the word most associated with President Bush had always been "honest." Now the leading answer is "incompetent" (given by 29 people), followed by "good," "idiot" and "liar."

Congress is, AT LAST, getting tired of all the off-budget "emergency" appropriations.

Congress doesn't care. It ain't their money being spent. And if it is, even in part, these august elected officials should switch accountants.
