I've been chuckling over them for MONTHS, but the title quote comes from MSN today.
State Governors are meeting with Bush today, and Republicans among them are "openly critical".
Guess they're not quite as dumb as they look. It just takes a little longer than it should.
BUSH IS AS DUMB AS AN OX! DUMBER THAN A TURKEY, EVEN!

The Republican boat sprung a leak a long time ago.
If those Republican governors just noticed the water creeping up to their belt loops they must have been very disintertested or otherwise occupied.
The Republican governor of my state has been busy managing his court appearences. Likewise his closest advisors. One of his prime money raisers has just been charged with over fifty crimes some of which are felonies derived from his ability to get state funds and convert them to his own use.

Actually I heard the wild turkey is pretty smart. In fact B. Franklin wanted it to be the national bird, instead of the bald eagle.

The Eagle is proof positive that good marketing can make even a vulture a national emblem.
It's sad to see that the Reps aren't dealing well with Bush's stumbling after they were doing so well with the drool cup and the groping in the dark. :D

I dunno. I came pretty close to roadkilling a pair of wild turkeys on the way home tonight. They weren't too swift.

I was referring to Commercial Turkeys. I think they will drown themselves in their drinking water if a Poultry Farmer gives it to them in a dish too deep.
They, litterally, do not have the sense God gave a goose.
