my favorite gowdy was the american sportsman on saturday afternoons. hadnt thought of the guy in 30 years probably but when i heard the name the next thing i thought of was american sporstman

That was a great show. Used to be a perfect way to spend a gloomy winter afternoon. I always enjoyed the trips with Bing Crosby and that big funny guy with the gruff voice. Phil something, but I can't remember his last name.
